Magazine publishers have seen some encouraging signs along those lines.

But is this willingness to pay limited to apps, or does it extend to the mobile web?

If you have any insight on this question, or could point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it.Crowhillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02327655974517447377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243428427298807.post-84432159369698642392010-09-03T09:02:05.612-07:002010-09-03T09:02:05.612-07:00Declaring the web to be dead is really just link b...Declaring the web to be dead is really just link bait for Wired. They get everyone talking about it, linking to their article, discussing the controversy. I haven't read it yet, but that was my guess when I saw the comments about it.

The "web" as we traditionally think of it is certainly changing, but that's nothing new or specific to 2010. It's been changing since day one; BBS, Gopher, Usenet and so on.

For the marketer, adapting and keeping on top of the trends --or ahead of the trends-- is exciting. Your post is very good and spot on. I'll admit that I've been standoffish with mobile advertising. I kinda thought about it as a trend at first. I have a basic phone, no apps and I've rarely ever browsed the web on it. I'm happy with it and would find ads on it annoying. But the way that the mobile web is being embraced can no longer be denied or ignored as a trend.

Keep up the good work!ArcoJedihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02973286642647633765noreply@blogger.com
